What Makes Fire-Tempered Wood Unique?
Charred wood, also known as Shou Sugi Ban or Yakisugi, is a traditional wood-processing method in which boards are carefully burned using fire. Once cooled, the surface is brushed to remove residue and then treated with natural oils.
