What Makes Fire-Tempered Wood Unique?
Charred wood, also known as Shou Sugi Ban or Yakisugi, is a traditional wood-processing method in which boards are carefully burned using fire. Once cooled, the surface is brushed to remove residue and then treated with natural oils. This technique enriches the wood with a distinctive tone, enhances its texture, increases resistance to pests and fire, and significantly extends its overall lifespan.

Thanks to its unique visual character and exceptional durability, charred wood has gained worldwide popularity. It is widely used in various interior and exterior applications, including wall cladding, decorative panels, façades, terraces, and other architectural design elements.
